While detoxing is a daily part of living a healthy lifestyle, some people just aren’t ready to start their diet and exercise regime. This is absolutely fine. In fact the best way to get into detoxing is by acting just a day at a time. If you have read some of the benefits of detoxing and you want to take a few small steps today, here are some things you can do!

1) Clean up a mess in your house

Ack! I know I know, detoxing is suppose to be relaxing. Well, not every part of it is. And besides if you take your time, listen to some music, sing a little song to yourself or whatever it might actually be enjoyable. Cleaning up is a great way to start detoxing. When it comes time to actually relax you wont have any problems worrying about all the stuff in your house you have to get done. And really, isn’t it easier to relax when things are in order? Further as you clean you may actually clean up some legitimate toxins. IF you haven’t done the dishes for a while and you find some food that’s growing some mold then get rid of it, you will have one less harmful thing in your home!

2)Make a healthy meal

Doesn’t matter if its a simple garden salad of an acai berry blessed smoothy. When you eat good foods your body gets stronger, your immune system kicks into high gear while it has the nutrients and it works to remove toxins from your body. You will have more energy and feel happier. You can use your new energy to do even more detox activities if you want!

3)Throw out some stuff

Think of stuff you don’t need and get rid of it. Clutter catches chemicals. The less stuff you have the less places toxins have to live. Also think about more specific things. How about all those near empty bottles of cleaners under the sink. Why bother keeping them? Ideally if your detoxing you don’t want to use them ever again. And these ones are almost empty. They wont be of use to anyone. What other things can you let go of?

4)Open the windows and let in some fresh air

Who cares if its cold outside? Put on a sweater and let that good air in! The stale air is full of toxins and low on the oxygen that your body craves. Help your body detox with some fresh stuff!

I’m sure you can think of many many more simple things to do. This list was just to get you started. I dont care what you do to start, but give yourself a big hug and start today. You know how to detox. Just do it.

Drinking clean water is an important part of detoxing both with a detox diet and for living a more detoxifying lifestyle. Many detoxers believe that bottled water is a good choice over tap water to get their daily intake.
They believe that bottled water is a pure product taken from an abundant source and put in a clean container. However this is often not the case. In fact, we may actually be making things harder for struggling bodies to detoxify.

A four-year study tested more than 1,000 bottles of 103 brands of bottled water and concluded that about one-third of the waters tested contained levels of contamination – including synthetic organic chemicals, bacteria, and arsenic, and that bottled water “is not cleaner or safer than most tap water.

Aquafina and Dasani are the two biggest brands of bottled water. They are owned by pepsi and coke respectively. These companies use their soda bottling plants to access publicly built, maintained, and funded water systems, and then turn your tax dollars for profit. In both cases and most other bottled water companies it is no more than tap water taken from municipal supplies that you are drinking.

Even if you arent ready to believe that, look at it this way there are also far more cost effective alternatives. Specially designed water filtration systems are cheap these days. You would actually end up spending alot less, and you would get water that will keep you detoxed for life!

How much would you save? Well think of this way. Home water filtration systems cost between $150 for a tap system, too about $1000 to filter your entire home. It costs from 240 to over 10,000 times more to buy a gallon of bottled water vs. gallon of average tap water. You don’t even have to do the math to realize how much cheaper tap water is. Within a week to a month your home filtration system will have payed for itself.

Finally, if your a big picture detoxier you cares about the long term and the environment around you, after all every day spent in a toxic loaded environment is worse for our bodies. So just think of about the toxic chemicals and fossil fuel runoff of the biggest throwaway item there is, plastic water bottles!

All this means only one thing for you my detoxifying friend. If you want to detox, do yourself a big favor and buy a home filtration system. I would really recommend it.

If you’ve found this article, you’ve got something VERY IMPORTANT on your mind. The health of your lungs. If you’re a smoker I don’t need to remind about the condition they are in. I’m sure you’ve got enough of that already. Otherwise you wouldn’t be here.

The good news is that you can almost completely reverse any and all of the damage the years of smoking has caused your lungs. I know its possible because my father went from a 50 year old smoker unable to walk up a flight of stairs to a healthy non smoker who can now do it easily. He even does short jogs now and then. Not bad for 50 i’d say.

He did a lung detox program that was a combination of exercises he learned from a local specialist and some herbal supplements that he took ever day to maintain his healthy lungs.

The exercises helped to strengthen his lungs slowly and pushed good blood in to clean out all the bad stuff.

The specially designed supplements helped to gently break down the tar, open up his air ways, and stimulate his immune system to help it remove all the crud.

I remember he begin to see results in his first week. He had a wheeze that cleared up not long after he started too.

Not having to worry about my dads health was the best gift he’s ever given me. I wanted others to share his success, and my relief with others.

So I’ve included links to a lung detox guide that has similar exercises and lots of other stuff as well as the supplements my father uses.

If you want to learn more about your lungs then read on!

Hey Folks

I just wanted to make a post about how important our lungs are to the detoxification process. The lungs are sort of a double edged sword because while they are able to exhale toxins from our bodies, they also allow us to inhale toxins.

Each breath is a cleanse and a death. (I’m a poet now and then.)

Unfortunately some times our lungs cant keep up and we get sick. Some of us die. In fact, nearly 7.7 million people die from lung conditions every year. Its sad, but true.

There are 3 main external sources that effect the lungs:

smoking

Out door air pollution

Indoor air pollution

Smoking is the number one source of lung problems. Later in this article we will explore how a lung detox can have huge benefits for a smoker.

Outdoor Pollution is the next major contributor to lung conditions. If you live in or near a major city or in close proximity to a large highway or an industrial complex, you are being exposed to heavy outdoor pollution on a daily basis.

The third item that leads to lung conditions is indoor pollution. You would be surprised at the number of sources of pollution you can find in your house. Furniture comes to mind, it is treated with all sorts of toxic chemicals to help it look nice longer. It is also coated with flame retardant. Do you use unnatural cleaning products? There is another massive source of of toxins in your home. The list is extensive. In some cases, homes are actually more polluted then the outdoors!

With so many sources of possible lung pollution is easy to see that anyone can benefit from a lung detox. The good news is that in many cases, a lung detox can repair your lungs and remove the pollutants in a relatively short period of time.

A lung detox can give you all the benefits that come with having healthy lungs including:

Aversion to Cigarette smoke (great if your trying to quit!)

Easier breathing

Decreased chance of lung cancer

Elimination of the ’smokers cough’

More energy

Better blood circulation

Increased immune performance

Happier healthier outlook on life

Increased cognitive functioning

For Smokers

For those who want to quit smoking a lung detox is a great way to get started. It can be combined with other quit smoking methods as well such as the patch, gum, or electronic cigarette.

How does a lung detox help you quit smoking?

Well, as lungs detox they become sensitive again and are repelled by toxins and irritants in cigarette smoke.

Some people who have done a lung detox have described feeling sickened at the smell of cigarette smoke. After a few months they never feel the urge to smoke again.

With out a lung detox it can take a long term smoker 15 to 20 years for their lungs to detoxify themselves. That’s a long time to be breathing through an organ choked with tar and noxious substances.

Thank god for lung detoxing.

Lung Detox is the best lung detoxification program available for smokers and those who are trying to quit.

For Non Smokers

If you want to give your lungs a detox here are some tips to get you started

Tip 1 – Exercise

When you exercise you start to internally cleanse the lungs and they become stronger and healthier.

Tip 2 -Take vitamin D

Vitamin D is show to increase the function of the lungs. It has also been known to decrease respiratory diseases such as asthma.

Tip 3 – Breath clean air

Escape into the great outdoors when you can or consider buying an air purifier for you’re home.

I hope you have found this little lung detox guide helpful. I really cant stress enough how great the lung detox is for smokers. It will pay for itself in the money you save from quitting.

To your health!
