Detox Grooming?!
Yes, its true. Detox grooming is a very real thing. You would think its just some crazy over the top idea, but when you look into it, its simple not so. Detox grooming is a great way to keep the external part of your body working to help you detox.
Detox grooming works in the following ways:
1) Toxins accumulate on the skin and in the pores. Your skin is semi-permeable. This means that stuff can pass though it. It means TOXINS can pass though it. By keeping the skin clean and free of debris we lessen the amount of toxins entering though the skin
2)You can use certain products to stimulate the skin and help it remove toxins as well as clear off any dead skin on your body.
3) You will look great, which will make you feel great, which will only do good things for you, which will make things easier on your body, which will help you keep detoxifed.
In order to keep the skin clean you should shower everyday or at least every other day. Try not to shower more then once a day because you will lose your natural oils that help keep your skin clean and healthy.
Before you shower you should use a loofah sponge to remove dead skin and other debris from your body. You don’t want to do this every day. Every 3 days or so is perfect.
When you shower it is important to use all natural soaps and hair products. These products are toxin free and wont harm your body. They are gentle on the skin as well.
Also, remember to wash EVERYWHERE. This includes the bottoms of the feet. Are feet rarely get as much attention as they deserve.
The next step to a fully function detox grooming routine is to use all natural toothpaste to clean your teeth. People are a bit divided on this one because we have been told for years how amazing fluoride is for your teeth. While it is true that fluoride can help protect our teeth, think of what it and the other dozens of chemicals are doing to your body. Also remember that its mostly the scrubbing on the teeth that keeps them healthy. The main worry with dental health s plaque build up. This is prevented by the scrubbing of the teeth and regular check ups at the dentist.
Keeping your nails trimmed is another important part of detoxing. Dirt under the nails traps toxins that seep into your skin.
Finally, if you use any hair products buy all natural again for obvious reasons.
So, there you go, what started off as a silly idea quickly became a new fun way of taking care of yourself and living a detox lifestyle. Cheers!
